To improve product quality we have launched an updated category tree with more granular categories. For Merchants with products within fashion, we have also launched the possibility to add gender and material to a product.
By adding metadata such as gender and material your products will be easier to find for our publishers.

Metadata - Gender and Material
For products where gender and materials are relevant, you now have the option to add such metadata to your products. The more metadata attributes added to a product, the easier it is for our Publishers to find the product.
Gender
Gender is mandatory on the product level for departments Fashion & Accessories and Beauty.
Gender is optional for departments Children & Toys, Sports & Outdoors, and Adult.
Tip: When creating or editing a product you can only select one gender to your product. If you applicable for both men and female, apply Unisex.

Materials are available for products within Fashion & Accessories. The selectable materials are

You can select multiple materials for one product.
Attention: According to Textile Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 manufactures are required to write fibre composition for products within clothing that are made up of at least 80% of textile fibres. This should be done in the description of the product when applicable.
